IS DERMALUX MD SUITBLE FOR ME?
The vast majority of adults will e suitable for treatment, even if you suffer from sensitive skin. There are some medical conditions and medication contraindications that could mean you are not suitable for phototherapy, these will be identified during your pre-treatment consultation.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN LED TREATMENT?
LED Phototherapy is a safe, painless and relaxing experience. You will feel a soothing warmth as the light energy is delivered. Each treatment last between 10 -20 minutes depending on your personal skin requirements.
DO I NEED A COURSE OF TREATMENT?
There are three different DermaluxMD protocols depending on your own personal requirements and skin needs. Most courses of phototherapy will be for 8-12 sessions taken twice a week, however this can vary depending on requirements.

Q1. What is Rejuvapen?
A.Rejuvapen is a unique electronic mechanism which allows the practitioner to control every stage of the treatment, fully adjustable for each area of the face or body to enhance comfort during the treatment.
Q2. Will it hurt?
A. No. to mitigate any discomfort a topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin before the treatment commences. For some this treatment can be quite comfortable and relaxing.
Q3. What will mu skin look like after a micro-needling treatment?
A there may be some redness which should fade in 1-2 hours. There may be some little red dots that may take 12-24 hours to fade.
Q5. What should I put on my skin after a micro-needling treatment?
A. post treatment kit will be given at your first session, this needs to be used for 3 days post treatment. You can then go back to your normal program of products, usually the program that was recommended pre-treatment. The use of Retinols post needling is not recommend for 5-7 days depending on skin type. Physical sunscreen SPF 30/50 must be used post needling.
Q.6 How often can I have a micro-needling treatment?
A. Micro needing actives the production of collagen in the skin by creating a micro-injusry to the skin. This micro-injury triggers the skins natural healing response that intern stimulates stronger collagen fibres to be produced within the skin. However this process takes a good 4 weeks during which time you may see a continued improvement in the skins texture and firmness. It is recommended to take follow up sessions in 6 week intervals to optimise this skin healing response.
Q7. How may treatment should I need to get the best outcome?

Usually clients can need 2-3 sessions depending on the skins needs and concerns. Sessions depend also on what program is ultimately recommended. This could be a course of just Rejuvapen or a combination of any of the following: Rejuvapen, LED Phototerapy, Chemical Peels.

Collagen Induction Therapy
Rejuvapen is a Medical Class 1 Mechanical Micro-Needling device, with precisely spaced micro needles to create invisible perforations into the skins epidermal layer and top layer of the dermis. As a result this low level injury triggers the skins natural healing response which in turn activates the skin to regenerate and build stronger network of collagen and elastin fibres to repair these micro perforations.
The treatment is tailored to each individual client’s needs, with the ability to adjust needle depth according to the different facial and body areas. With minimal downtime, some redness dependant on the individuals skin (4-24hr.), it’s advised not to wear make-up for 24hr, skin prep is advised using retinols and Vitamin C at least 2 weeks prior to treatment as this will support the skins healing response and improve general skin health.
